The Baker Commission matches Hitchcock in building suspense. Yet, unlike the great filmmaker, the commission kept the audience impatient for more than half a year and in the end produced something of no surprise.

The report states the obvious. It reminded me of a witty entry in the first Polish dictionary dating back to the 18^th Century, where the following definition of a horse was suggested:

“a horse is something one can see for oneself”
